Description
Priulvi 20 mg tablets contain Telmisartan, a prescription antihypertensive medicine belonging to the angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) class.
Telmisartan works by selectively blocking angiotensin II AT1 receptors, reducing the constriction of blood vessels and helping lower blood pressure.
The 20mg strength provides an option for patients requiring a lower dose based on clinical assessment, tolerability, and blood pressure response.

Dosage & Administration
The usual recommended adult starting dose for hypertension under U.S. prescribing information is 40mg once daily. However, antihypertensive effects have been demonstrated across the 20–80mg dose range.
Priulvi 20mg should be taken orally according to the physician’s prescription, with or without food.
Possible Side Effects
Dizziness, headache, back pain, diarrhoea, and symptoms associated with low blood pressure. Elevated potassium and changes in kidney function may occur.
Contraindications & Precautions
Telmisartan must not be used during pregnancy because of the risk of serious fetal harm.
Contraindications include known hypersensitivity to telmisartan or formulation ingredients and concurrent aliskiren use in patients with diabetes.
Monitor kidney function, blood pressure, and serum potassium as appropriate.
